These Blue Apatite earrings are handmade, one pair at a time. Each oval cabochon is polished to a smooth, glassy dome. Flecks and patches of deep blue drift through hazy greys and milky whites; these are the stone's natural patterns, so no two earrings match exactly. Each Blue Apatite oval is set by hand in a plain silver bezel, shaped and fitted to hold the stone securely. Suspended on Sterling Silver ear wires to let the earrings move and catch the light.

Because the stone is natural, each piece has different patterns. Apatite gets its name from the Greek word for “to deceive” because people often mistake it for other gemstones, such as aquamarine. It looks like shallow tropical water with the white foam of the sea dispersing over the top.
