The Stone
Charoite is a rare purple stone with a pearly luster and violet hues with darker swirls on the surface. Named after the Chara River.
Charoite shimmers with rare splendor. This gem can only be found in one place in the entire world and it was only recently discovered in the 1940s. Pieces of this precious purple gem are few and far between and as it was discovered at a unique geological formation known as a Mastiff, the odds are that big deposits of this stone may not be seen again.

Properties
Charoite is a stone of transformation.  It cleanses the aura and chakras by transmuting negative energy into healing.  It opens our hearts and stimulates unconditional love.  Re-energises, reducing stress and worry.  Charoite stimulates and regulates the blood pressure and pulse rate.  Improves sleep, overcomes insomnia, and allays nightmares.

While it is not a birthstone, it is affiliated with the astrological signs Sagittarius and Scorpio.
